The fusible Tailoring Canvas is a structural interfacing intended for the making of traditional high-quality jackets and coats. It is fully fusible. This technical interfacing, thanks to its weight of 180g/m2, gives the garment the necessary support without weighing down the drape, playing the role of a flexible skeleton for the front of the jacket.
Prepare your fabric, remove anything that may interfere with fusing (e.g. fibres deposited on your fabric). Fusing must be tested on a scrap of the main fabric to ensure adhesion and the absence of bain-marie (appearance of glue dots on the fabric surface).
This interfacing is designed to be fused directly to the wrong side of the jacket front. Application must be done uniformly, respecting temperature and pressure specifications. Remember to let the fusible cool before any handling. Avoid using steam to fix the fusible. It is made in Italy and sold by the linear metre. Storage: Store the canvas flat or rolled, away from humidity and direct light, to prevent deterioration of the fusible coating and the fibres.
Protection: Handle with clean hands to avoid transferring grease or dirt to the light-coloured fibres. The use of a press cloth is recommended during heat application to protect the iron's surface.
