The Double Canvas is a canvas used in millinery, made of a layer of Dutch canvas and a layer of Singalette already bonded together. This canvas is used to make so-called "stretched fabric" hats.
To use, spray water onto the canvas to make it supple and malleable. Shape it into the desired form using a hat block. Allow to dry so the canvas stiffens again. Two layers can be used for greater rigidity.
