This cap-type block is intended for blocking felts, straws and various millinery textile materials. It is entirely manufactured in France in Tergnier by labs10.fr, from French linden wood selected for its stability. The varnished finish provides protection against heat and moisture during steam work.
The block is designed to be used alone. Although the varnish protects the wood, applying cling film before blocking is recommended to prevent any dye bleeding onto the block and to extend its durability. The string groove allows the material to be held during drying and the finishing hem to be made easily.

Finish: High-resistance varnish against moisture and heat.

Centre hole: Standard 3.5 cm.
Outer holes: Standard 2.5 cm.
Pin spacing compatibility: 10 cm vertical (French), 10 cm horizontal (Austrian), 5 inches (British), 4 inches offset by 1 inch (Australian).

Clean with a dry cloth after each use to remove material or stiffener residues. Do not use solvent-based products that could damage the hat block. In case of excessive moisture, allow to air dry away from a direct heat source to prevent any warping of the wood. Store in a cool, dry place, on a flat surface when not in use. Do not heat the block above 100 °C.
