The Hat Block:
The varnished wooden hat block, called a skittle, is used to stretch straw or felt cone bases before final blocking.
Dimensions:
- diameter at widest point: 15cm (5.9 inch)
- diameter at base: 10cm (3.9 inch)
- skittle height: 30cm (11.8 inch)

If the block is not in stock, we have a lead time of 4 weeks for manufacture.
The holes on all hat blocks (brim, crown and fascinator) sold by la Mercerie de l'Atelier are standardised (3.5cm for the central hole)

Wood origin:
The wood is of French origin, sourced from a sawmill less than 70 km from the workshop. We favour short supply chains.
The blocks are manufactured in Picardy
