Usage Tips

This ribbon is specifically designed to be worked with an iron to follow the curves of headband entries or hat brims. Due to its pure cotton structure, it is imperative to carry out a complete steam shrinking before any cutting or placement to stabilise the natural retraction of the fibre. Its suppleness allows the creation of complex milliner knots (flat knot, French knot) with a clean drape and lasting hold.

• Storage: store away from direct light and humidity to preserve the depth of colour.

• Protection: the use of a press cloth is recommended when shaping with an iron to avoid glazing the cotton.

• Tools: the use of perfectly sharpened tailor's shears is necessary to ensure a clean cut of the weft.
