Its 100% cotton composition and 35 mm width make it suitable for fine millinery and tailoring work requiring a matte, stable finish. This premium product allows precise handling without altering the fibre during assembly stages.

Usage advice

This ribbon is specifically designed to be shaped with a pressing iron to follow the curves of headband linings or hat brims. Due to its pure cotton structure, thorough shrinking with steam before any cutting or fitting is imperative in order to stabilise the natural shrinkage of the fibre. Its suppleness allows the creation of complex milliner's bows (flat bow, French bow) with a clean drape and lasting hold.

Additional information

• Storage: store away from direct light and humidity to preserve the depth of colour.

• Protection: the use of a press cloth is recommended when blocking with an iron to avoid glazing the cotton.

• Tools: the use of perfectly sharpened tailor's shears is necessary to ensure a clean cut of the weft.
