Usage advice

This ribbon is specifically designed to be shaped with an iron to follow the curves of headband openings or hat brims. Due to its pure cotton structure, it is essential to carry out a thorough shrinking process with steam before any cutting or application, in order to stabilise the fibre shrinkage. Its suppleness allows the creation of complex millinery bows (flat knot, French knot) with a clean drape and lasting hold.

• Storage: store away from direct light and humidity to preserve the depth of colour.

• Protection: the use of a press cloth is recommended when shaping with an iron to avoid glazing the cotton.

• Tools: the use of perfectly sharpened tailor's shears is necessary to ensure a clean cut of the weave.
