Flat Brim

The Hat Block:

Round flat brim hat block. It will allow you to create hats with a wide flat brim. You can then rework the edges in three dimensions.

You have the option of fitting metal pegs to slot in and stabilise the crown on top, which will make your work easier. A set of 2 metal rods is included with the hat block.

- Round, diameter 44cm (17.3 inch)

- Height approximately 4cm (1.6 inch)

The holes on all hat blocks (brim, crown and fascinator) sold by la Mercerie de l'Atelier are standardised (3.5cm for the central hole and 2.5cm for the outer holes)

On the brim, you will find 6 symmetrical and centred holes, which allow you to insert 2 metal rods in order to lock the crown onto a brim.

- 2 holes spaced 10cm apart (compatible with most French hat blocks including those by La Forme - Ré)

- 2 holes spaced 5 inch apart (compatible with Guy Morse-Brown hat blocks)

- 2 holes offset by 1 inch and spaced 4 inch apart (compatible with Hat Blocks Australia hat blocks)

The brim is sold separately.


This hat block is manufactured in Tergnier, in our workshop, using 100% French lime wood.
