Usage advice

This ribbon is specifically designed to be shaped with an iron to follow the curves of headband entries or hat brims. Due to its pure cotton structure, it is essential to carry out a full steam shrinking before any cutting or fitting to stabilise the natural shrinkage of the fibre. Its suppleness allows the creation of complex millinery knots (flat knot, French knot) with a clean drape and lasting hold.

• Storage: store away from direct light and moisture to preserve the depth of colour.

• Protection: the use of a press cloth is recommended when blocking with an iron to avoid glazing the cotton.

• Tools: the use of perfectly sharpened tailor's shears is necessary to ensure a clean cut of the weft.
