This construction helmet-type block is designed for the moulding of felts, straws and various textile materials used in millinery. It is entirely manufactured in France at Tergnier by labs10.fr, from French lime wood selected for its stability. The varnished finish provides protection against heat and humidity during steam work.
Genuinely inspired by the construction helmets worn by workers, this block catches the eye and flatters your silhouette.
The block is designed to be used alone. Although the varnish protects the wood, applying cling film before blocking is recommended to prevent any dye bleeding onto the block and to extend its durability. The string groove allows you to lock the material in place as it dries, and to easily make the finishing hem.

Material: 100% French lime wood.
Finish: High-resistance varnish against humidity and heat.

Central drilling: Standard 3.5 cm.
External drillings: Standard 2.5 cm.

Clean with a dry cloth after each use to remove material or stiffener residue. Do not use solvent products which could alter the hat block. In case of excessive humidity, allow to dry in open air away from any direct heat source to prevent any warping of the wood. You can store them in a cool, dry place on a flat surface when not in use. Do not heat the block above 100 °C.
